For Egg Yolk, the bottom housing uses durable PA66 with 10% fiberglass, while the center mast is molded from HMX's S1 blend. This unique combination delivers a crisp, clacky, and exceptionally clean sound profile while maintaining excellent structural integrity. The Hybrid Molding System makes it possible to utilize specialty materials like S1 in ways that were previously impractical, opening new possibilities for switch sound and feel customization. Finished with HMX's renowned factory lubrication, the Egg Yolk offers outstanding smoothness right out of the box. It is one of HMX's most balanced and best-sounding clacky linear switches to date The Egg Yolk splits its bottom housing to seat a rigid S1 post right where the stem bottoms out, giving HMX their crispest, clackiest sound yet — rounder and fuller than their usual high-pitched clack. The hardened M2 stem keeps every 3.6mm keystroke glassy-smooth with a poppy snap on the way down.
